We are delighted to share some of our highlights from Collecting the Future, an exhibition showcasing generative artworks and photography preserved through blockchain technology, opening on May 26, 2023, at Houston-based Art Gallery, Assembly.
Collecting the Future: Photography and Generative Art on the Blockchain
Presented by Assembly and Art Blocks
26 May–22 July 2023
Opening Reception
When: Friday 26 May from 6–8pm CT
Where: Assembly, 4411 Montrose Blvd, Suite F, Houston TX 77006
Included in the exhibition at Assembly are some of the projects that helped shape the history and community of Art Blocks, including early works by DCA (Daniel Calderon), Rafaël Rozendaal, and Danny Wolfers (Legowelt), Anna Lucia, Sarah Ridgley, as well as more recent works by Matt DesLauriers, Aranda\Lasch, and Junia Farquhar.
Assembly is a forward-thinking art gallery that saw blockchain’s power to ensure and preserve artistic provenance, especially for fine art photography, located in Houston.
Seeing compelling generative art being showcased alongside great photographic works is a true testament to the art form and its place in the greater art market. We can’t wait to see our Houston community there.
